The founders of Kootenay Kalendars, Lucas Jmieff and Ginia Hayward, were both born and raised in the West Kootenays. The adventurous duo are always excited to explore and photograph new places on the map.
Lucas is a Kootenay veteran photographer with more than 12 years of professional shooting under his belt. Jmieff specializes in fine art Landscape photography, outdoor adventures, snowsports as well as weddings. His images are found internationally in private art collections, winter sports publications, advertisements, websites, postcards etc. Lucas is also a master of large format fine art printing on canvas. Lucas prints and exhibits large Giclee' canvas prints with awe-inspiring perspectives of Kootenay mountains, glaciers and waterways. He also offers custom canvas printing and stretching services. Ginia has come to appreciate her own backyard more each year. After spending many seasons traveling overseas to sought after destinations and exploring new cultures, she is proud to call the Kootenays home. She feels fortunate to take on new adventures with her mom and dad, sisters, friends and partner Lucas.
Ginia has a background in business, marketing and photography. Along with the excitement of co-founding the publishing company, she is a practicing Kinesiologist in Nelson.
Lucas and Ginia continue to shoot new photos in their travels that promise their future releases to be filled with unforgettable images.
